The Indian Lifesaving Sports Federation
The Indian Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation is a national, independent, charitable organization that works to prevent drowning and water-related injury through its training programs, Water Smart public education, aquatic safety management services, drowning research and lifesaving sport.
Annually, over 10,000 Indians participate in our swimming, lifesaving, lifeguard and leadership training programs. As Indian’s lifeguarding expert The Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation sets the standard for aquatic safety and certifies Indian’s National Lifeguards
The National Lifeguard Service® award builds on the skills, knowledge and values that the Lifesaving Society teaches in its Pre-Bronze and Bronze Medal awards to develop the practical skills and knowledge required by lifeguards. The National Lifeguard Service awards include NL Pool, NL Waterpark, NL Waterfront and NL Surf.
The lifesaving programs include theIndian Swim Patrol and the Bronze Medal awards. Developing proficiency in lifesaving, resuscitation and water rescue skills, these awards provide swimmers with life skills that will last a lifetime and can be used as ‘building blocks’ toward further first aid and lifeguard training.
