The Sport Commission

The Sport Commission is the management arm of The Indian Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation. The Sport Commission manages lifesaving sport activities in India, set down in its Terms of Reference which are reviewed and approved by the Board as needed.

Sport Commission Activity Centres

The Indian Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation Board of Directors appoints Sport Commission officers. The following activity centres and managers assist the Sport Commission and The Indian Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation in completing its mission. The Sport Commission meets on a regular basis and reports to the Board of Directors of The Indian Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation through the Sport Commissioner. All members except for the Athlete Representative are appointed to the Commission for a four-year term, on a cycle matching that of the ILS.

The Sport Commission voting members include an Athlete Representative, elected by the athlete representative election process, and, Five (5) to Nine (9) Officers (managers of activity centers) appointed by the board. Ex-officio, non-voting members includes.

Indian members of ILS

The Indian Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation Chief Administrative Officer, Past Commissioner, Sport Commissioner.

The Sport Commissioner is appointed by and reports to the Board of Directors of The Indian Lifesaving & Lifesaving Sports Federation. The Commissioner leads the Sport Commission in implementing the terms of reference as approved by the Board.
